With an investment of 1.9 billion yuan and an annual production capacity of more than 100,000 units, this robot super factory is coming
On August 1, EFORT, a leading brand of domestic industrial robots, announced that in order to increase the production capacity of the company's industrial robot business, improve manufacturing efficiency and further reduce manufacturing costs, the company intends to use its own or self-raised funds to invest in the construction of EFORT Robot Super Factory and Global Headquarters Project in Wuhu City, with an estimated total investment of no more than 1.9 billion yuan.
The project is divided into two phases of construction, the first phase is expected to achieve an annual output of 50,000 high-performance industrial robots, and the second phase is expected to achieve an annual output of 100,000 high-performance industrial robots.
EFORT said that with the continuous increase of the country's attention and support for the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry, the market demand for domestic industrial robots has grown rapidly in recent years. According to the forecast and analysis of industry development and market development, the original design and planned production capacity of the company's existing plant is 10,000 industrial robots per year, which is expected to be difficult to meet market demand in the next 3 years.
In addition, some of the company's robot products and new structural robots have higher requirements for cleanliness and production line assembly process, which cannot be met by the existing plant space and existing production line. Therefore, the company plans to build the EFORT Robot Super Factory and Global Headquarters project.
The project will build a super intelligent digital factory integrating automated assembly, three-dimensional warehouse, CNC machining center, core parts production and quality inspection center, including R&D technology experimental center, industry application workstation, EFORT science and technology innovation center, and a diversified scientific research base in the exhibition hall.
EFORT said that this project will rely on the long-term technology and application accumulation of the company's core business of industrial robots, relying on the huge market of automation and industrial robots in China and the world, and plans to develop new products in three directions: high-end application scenarios, special application scenarios and complete product pedigree. After the project is completed and put into production, it can effectively improve the overall production capacity and comprehensive strength of the company's robots and intelligent manufacturing, and further optimize the company's production capacity layout.
The scale of China's industrial robot market has grown rapidly, ranking first in the world for 13 consecutive years, and the market share has exceeded half of the world for two consecutive years. At the same time, China's own brand of robots has made great progress. With the continuous increase in investment, China's robot industry is expected to occupy a leading position in the global market.
As one of the representatives of domestic industrial robots, EFORT has been deeply cultivating in the industrial robot industry since its inception, gradually developing into a leading domestic robot company, and listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board in 2020.
For decades, EFORT has been committed to creating the best industrial robots, and the product family has continued to grow, continuously upgraded and iterated, forming a relatively complete and competitive product matrix. In 2023, EFORT robots will sell more than 12,000 units as a whole. Last month, EFORT officially broke through the 300kg payload and successfully developed the ER300 series of large-load industrial robots.
EFORT's current development blueprint mainly focuses on the core technology, quality control and cost control of intelligent industrial robot products. The company is committed to concentrating resources, achieving breakthroughs in key areas, seizing the precious opportunity of domestic substitution, and steadily expanding market share.
To this end, the company has identified five core markets: photovoltaic, 3C electronics, lithium battery, metal processing, and automobile and auto parts industries, and will focus on promoting the development of key application scenarios such as welding and spraying, and strive to make significant progress in these fields. In terms of R&D, the company will focus on platform products and strategic applications, and concentrate R&D resources on robotics platforms to create more advanced and efficient products. At the same time, we will continue to promote the localization rate and autonomy rate of core components, improve the competitiveness of products while reducing costs, and ensure that product quality is always maintained at the leading level in the industry.
Although China's industrial robot industry started not as good as foreign countries, but in recent years, with unremitting efforts, is gradually realizing the independent research and development of core components, in the face of challenges, China's industrial robot enterprises need to increase investment in technology research and development and innovation, improve the core competitiveness of products, but also need to strengthen cooperation with all parties, grasp the growth opportunities of the domestic industrial robot industry.
