What are the types of indexers?
1. Cambered cam splitter:
The cambered cam indexer is a transmission device in which the cambered conjugate cam on the input shaft and the indexing wheel on the output shaft are vertically meshed without gap.
The curved segment of the camber cam contour plane drives the indexing wheel to rotate, and the straight line segment makes the indexing wheel stationary, and the positioning is self-locking.
The continuous input motion is converted into an intermittent output motion by this mechanism.
2. Plane cam splitter
The plane cam indexer is a transmission device in which the plane conjugate cam on the input shaft and the indexing wheel on the output shaft are meshed in parallel without clearance.
The curve segment of the plane cam contour plane drives the indexing wheel to rotate, and the straight line segment makes the indexing wheel stationary, and the positioning is self-locking.
The continuous input motion is converted into an intermittent output motion by this mechanism.
Advantages of splitter over other components:
The cam splitter relies on a backlash-free fit between the cam and the needle roller (its meshing transmission is similar to that of a worm gear) and repeat the transmission operation along the established cam curve.
It inputs continuous rotary drive, outputs intermittent rotation, or oscillation, or lifting and other actions. It is mainly used for automatic processing, assembly, testing and other equipment.
3. Cylindrical (cylindrical) cam splitter:
Heavy-duty special platform type cylindrical cam splitter, special frame type cam indexing mechanism for electric light source equipment.
4. All kinds of special, end-face cam indexers
The types of indexers have been introduced.
